Johnsons Variety Night Big Hit! - July 31, 2007
The First Monthly Johnsons Variety Night at the M Bar was a big, smash, hit: in the immortal words of the bartender, Jacob. "You guys really bring out the drinkers!" Jacob said after the July 27th Barn Bash aptly called Cows' Quilts, & Corndawgs. the show featured the comedy of Rick Overton, Eddie Pepitone, Jenn Murphey, and the Sklar Sisters. Also Funk icon Cowboy Elridge graced the stage with his crotch / side splitting dance moves and soulful voice! Cowboy poet Chris Karr laid a lyric across our laps, and Nikki Katt taught us that you can't praise Jesus while you're bangin' the whores! Amen! The Johnsons weathered lots of technical problems as well as Johnnyjake gettin' a little drunk mid-show and droppin trow! God speed Johnsons - Unplugged & in your face! can't wait til next month. 5 big old Texas stars!!!

Happy Birthday America! - July 5, 2007
We spent the fourth of July playing Golfer's Mark. That's where you stop at the Quick Stop get a coke flavored slurpy, drink half really fast and then fill up the other half with Makers. Proceed to your nearest public golf course and play 36 holes, without a par.
Waylon's Birthday - June 18, 2007
Since we lost one of our heroes a couple years back we always celebrate Waylon Jenning's birthday on June 15th at the Johnsons house by watchin' all 15 appearances he made on Hee Haw on DVD. That's right Dad got us a DVD player for lent. Then we sing a medley of the Duke's of Hazzard theme song, Good-hearted woman, and Lonesome On'ry and Mean. We miss ya Waylon! You were the Only daddy that'd walk the line. Also, Uncle Rico celebrated a birthday on June 17th! 24 piece set comin' at ya!
The Johnsons Celebrate Love Day - June 8, 2007
As you know the Johnsons don't celebrate every holiday, but June 8th was national Love Day and we did it in style. First, Maw Maw took us boys down to the Banning drive-in to watch a double feature of "Any Which Way but Loose" and "Paint Your Wagon". Then everyone took a turn playin' chess with our paw John Johnson's new blow up partner while 2 Pint serenaded us on the new banjo he found. We capped off the night by a hard fought horse shoe tournament won by 2 Pint of course, and then a tobacco spittin' contest that was of course won by Maw Maw (old record of twenty three feet was shattered). Happy Love Day America!
Memorial day @ Pioneertown - May 29, 2007
2 Pint did not miss the Mayberry Marathon. His mandolin sounded sweeter than ever and the pie was good. We went straight from Greasewood to Yucca and played @ Spanky's barbecue. The waitress was just like the barbecue - hotttt! We then spent Memorial day at Pioneertown performing at the Pioneertown Posse Show. We helped our cousin build a wellness center out in Yucca Valley and took a slide down the bronasaurus at Cabazon on the way back to Banning! God Bless the U.S.A. and thank a veteran or ten this week!! Gomer blew the radiator on the way back to Banning so we will be down for a while til we raise enough money to fix her. Remember friends, wherever you go there you are.
